What Courage Really Is?

Courage, others say, is not the absence of fear but the ability to act despite the presence of fear. As far I'm concerned, courage goes beyond this.

Courage is the ability:

. . . to face challenges head on. . .

. . . to problem solve despite the apparent lack of solutions. . .

. . . to manage anger despite persistent irritants. . .

. . . to choose the necessary and yet unknown path. . .

. . . to get some answers even if they are elusive. . .

. . . to reflect on "what went wrong" and how things can be changed for the better. . .

. . . to get insight from uncommon sources if the usual route doesn't work. . .

. . . to maintain and uphold the truth despite the temptation to give in. . .

. . . to remain moral despite the lure of the flesh, money, and fame to do otherwise. . .

. . . to focus on achieving your goals despite constant rejection. . .

. . . to fill yourself with hope and enthusiasm even if there seems to be no reason to. . .

. . . to accept that everyone and everything have their limits. . .

. . . to change things that appear to be permanent and yet are wrong, unproductive, or simply not working. . .

. . . to keep on working even if there's no light at the end of the tunnel. . .

. . . to create innovative ideas and products even if your creations are ignored. . .

. . . to remain loyal and true to your family. . .

. . . to shower your family with unconditional love and affection. . .

. . . to maintain close friends who are positive and trustworthy, and who respect your uniqueness. . .

. . . to work well with others even they're hard to work with. . .

. . . to help others even if you need help yourself. . .

. . . to enjoy the simple things in life and to appreciate the complicated as well. . .

. . . to practice patience even if there are reasons to be impulsive. . .

. . . to be willing to wait, and wait, and wait because success is just around the corner. . .

. . . to consider failure, disappointments, and mistakes as major allies and silent educators. . .

. . . to use successess as stepping stones for bigger things to come. . .

. . . to establish a success team that can help achieve your mission. . .

. . . to treat yourself kindly regardless of results. . .

. . . to always believe in yourself despite people's doubt. . .

. . . to find and fulfill your purpose in this wonderful earth. . .

. . . to always believe in your great and wonderful Creator.
