Yes, that's right. Announce the truth as 'loud' as you can. Repeat the truth as frequently as you can.
Confront it head on. But in a nice way and at the right time. Certainly, you can't simply announce the truth and then bore your listeners to death.
If you let a lie stay, it's going to poison the minds of people. Eventually, the lie becomes the truth. Don't let this happen.
